With springtime comes new plants inside and outside your home. It is important to be aware that there are many  plants that are toxic to dogs and cats.

 

The ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center (APCC) has several resources for pet owners in regards to toxic plants. They have an extensive search engine for toxic and non-toxic plants that can be helpful as you're shopping for new greenery. They have also developed an application for iPhones and Androids that describes the poisonous plant (or household toxin), the side effects seen, and whether the toxin will cause mild or severe disease.
