Dr Gretchen Allen and her husband Dr. Kurt Lutgens
obtained their veterinary degrees from Cornell Veterinary
School in 1978.  They joined Dr Joe Cali in the area in
1982.  Dr Allen and her husband have raised 3 sons on
their farm in Greenwich.  They have numerous show cows,
chickens, swans, multiple cats and dogs that add to their
family.  Her interests include animal behavior, volunteering
veterinary time in the Caribbean, gardening, and scuba
diving.
Dr. Margaret Horn joined Battenkill
Veterinary in 1990.  She obtained
her B.S. from the University of
Massachusetts and her veterinary
degree from Virginia-Maryland
College of Veterinary Medicine.  
Margaret lives on a farm in the
area with her husband, 2 sons, 3
dogs, and 3 cats.
Dr. Aimee Heidt (Bedard) is originally
from Waterford/Clifton Park, NY.  She
obtained her B.S. in Biology from
Siena College.  She attended Ross
University School of Veterinary
Medicine, where she received her
DVM in 2003.  She has been
practicing in the Capital District and
joined Battenkill Veterinary in
February 2006. She and her husband
share their home with their daughter
Emily, 4 cats, and 1 ferret.
