for all pet owners:
Help Us Go Green!
We are trying to reduce our effects
on the environment with your help.
Every year, we send out hundreds
of paper reminder cards through the
mail.  We would like to decrease
that number to as low as possible
by switching to an email reminder
system.
If you have email and would like to
help our Green efforts, please send
us your email address at
battenkillveterinary@yahoo.com or
let us know what your e-mail is at
your next visit to the office.
For those without email, we will
continue to send cards in the mail
.
Your email addresses will be kept
secure and not sold/distributed to
third party companies.
Thanks so much!

Rabies is an ongoing issue in our area.  In 2010, we had an
unprecedented number of animals who tested positive for Rabies
in the Greenwich area.  Some animals were tested after attacking
people/exposure to people.  They had to go through a rigorous
vaccination schedule after this exposure.  If your pet is not up to
date with the Rabies vaccine, it is VERY important that gets fixed
ASAP.  Your pet may have to be euthanized if they are exposed to
a rabid animal or if they injure someone and if they aren't
vaccinated.

We have a daily special (Monday through Friday) where we offer
$10 Rabies vaccines at our clinic.  It is available for cats and
dogs, ages 12 weeks and older.  No appointment necessary, just
show up between the hours of 2-3 pm.  Please bring any records
of prior Rabies vaccines with you.

Also, in Washington County, there are monthly Rabies vaccine
clinics put on by the Washington County Department of Public
Health, running from March through November.
